Senior MEP Construction Cost Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior MEP Construction Cost Manager to lead and oversee the cost management processes for our mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all projects are completed within budget and in compliance with project specifications, while effectively managing resources and risks.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cost management plans for MEP projects.
Prepare and analyze cost estimates and budgets for project proposals.
Monitor project costs and report on financial performance regularly.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
Conduct value engineering assessments to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Manage contract negotiations and oversee contract administration processes.
Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies related to project costs.
Supervise site activities to ensure compliance with budgets and schedules.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate procurement efforts to secure necessary materials and services within budget.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction cost management or a related role.
Strong knowledge of construction processes and project management principles.
Proficiency in cost management software and tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Familiarity with construction contracts and legal aspects of project management.
Certification in cost management or project management (e.g., CCM, PMP) is a plus.
