Role: Tax Manager/Supervisor
Salary: $100-150k DOE
Location: Redlands, CA (Hybrid) potentially open to remote if you live in Southern CA
We are a full service CPA firm with special expertise in construction accounting, inventory based accounting, healthcare, employee benefit plan audits, and business advisory services.
Description
The Tax Manager is the liaison between the partner, client and staff. This position will manage multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously, manage scheduling and staffing to coordinate engagement workflow. The Tax Manager will also be responsible to develop and train staff.
Responsibilities
- Understand and communicate recent tax developments and their implications for clients and their business.
- Responsible for preparing complex client correspondence including recommendations, technical issues, proposals, etc.
- Develop a level of expertise in one or more specialized industry areas, but maintain the ability to perform very efficiently as a generalist.
- Manage client relationships for the assigned group of clients including managing expectations and meeting deliverable deadlines.
- Demonstrate the ability to research complex tax issues and/or direct the research activities of other staff.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the clients business that extends beyond the tax-related aspects.
- Develop, motivate and train staff through professional and technical reputation and enthusiasm.
- Recognizes the opportunities to provide additional services and demonstrates the ability to pursue such opportunities.
- Collaborate with managers and partners on both team and client issues.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Accounting or related field
- CPA or EA prefered
- Minimum of 5 years experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year supervising and directing the work of tax staff.
