Based in Houston, TX, we're a fire protection and safety equipment designer, manufacturer and distributor. Currently, we're looking for a Staff Engineer with an active EIT or PE License to join our team.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and enhancing safety protocols in various projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop fire protection systems using AutoCAD and Inventor software.
Conduct & analyze flow calculations, voltage drop and battery sizing calculations and structural steel calculations
Prepare detailed project submittals and documentation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Review and interpret NFPA codes and standards for project compliance.
Attend design kick off and review meetings
Review big packages
Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Develop layouts and diagrams for fire protection systems, including hydrants and detection systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and Inventor software.
Strong knowledge of fire protection principles and NFPA standards.
Experience in oil, gas, and industrial manufacturing environments is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
