Sr. Tax Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Sr. Tax Manager to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of tax compliance and planning, ensuring adherence to regulations while optimizing tax strategies for our clients. This position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to manage complex tax issues across various entities and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee tax compliance for multiple entities including corporations, partnerships, and foreign entities.
Prepare and review various tax forms including Schedule D, Schedule E, Schedule C, 5471, FBAR, 3520, 1116, forms 2555, 8938, and 114.
Assist in the preparation of K-1s and handle multiple state taxes efficiently.
Provide guidance on equity compensation, including RSUs, ESPP, and cryptocurrency reporting.
Support IRS and state representation as necessary in audits and inquiries.
Lead tax planning initiatives to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities for clients.
Conduct independent research on tax legislation and updates to ensure compliance and best practices.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide exceptional service.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA or EA designation is preferred.
Proven experience in tax management, particularly with Schedule D, multiple states, multiple K-1s, Schedule E, and corporations/partnerships.
In-depth knowledge of tax compliance and reporting, including forms 5471, FBAR, 3520, 1116, 2555, 8938, and 114.
Experience with equity compensation, RSUs, ESPP, and cryptocurrency reporting.
Strong bookkeeping and financial statement preparation skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in tax software and independent learning of new technologies and regulations.
