Senior Lead Project Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead Project Engineer to oversee and manage complex engineering projects in the industrial wastewater sector involving management, conveyance, and industrial facility operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, engineering design, and regulations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to take the technical lead on design projects for wastewater, industrial operations infrastructure, and facility modification including stormwater management, environmental, and construction permitting processes.
- Able to complete requests for proposals (RFP), develop scopes of work, obtain vendor quotes, and evaluate bids for construction work.
- Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
- Ability to identify wastewater sampling and analytical work to develop project needed data.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare project proposals and reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations, including OSHA and wastewater management protocols.
- Utilize AutoCAD and other engineering software to design and review project plans and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and junior engineers.
- Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues or risks that arise in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or related field)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or able to achieve within 1-2 years of hire.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project engineering.
- OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, and CPR/First Aid Training preferred
- Willing to travel (~30% of the work year)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
