Location: Ladson, SC
Salary: $62k-$75k first year base + Benefits

Due to our consistent growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant for our Charleston area office. This Accountant will work closely with Project Managers, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes and compliance with company/government policies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in project financial management, including budgeting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage project financial transactions and ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
Prepare and review project invoices and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
Coordinate with project managers to ensure compliance with project budgets and financial policies.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and forecasts for project status.
Ensure timely processing of change orders, certificates of insurance, and project documentation.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Maintain subcontractor job set-up list.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or 3+ years professional experience
Proven experience in accounting.
Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems.
Familiarity with construction accounting is preferred.
Experience with software such as Sage and Procore is preferred.
Knowledge of compliance regulations and project documentation requirements.
