Operations Manager (Plastics/Injection Molding)

Position Overview
The Operations Manager will oversee and optimize the manufacturing processes within the plastics and injection molding division, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role is crucial for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in our production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity within the plastics and injection molding processes.
Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
Lead and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and reduce waste.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast production needs and manage inventory levels of resin and other materials.
Implement and maintain ERP systems to enhance operational effectiveness and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in operations management within the plastics or injection molding industry.
Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and materials, including resin management.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Proficiency in ERP software and data analysis tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
