Maintenance Mechanic

Position Overview
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment in a food manufacturing environment to ensure optimal production efficiency and safety standards. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, conducting routine maintenance, and implementing improvements to enhance operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and preventive inspections on machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on food manufacturing equipment.
Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve processes.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanics or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic in a food manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Familiarity with food machinery and maintenance practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
