Litigation Paralegal - Family Law

Position Overview
We are looking to add an experienced Litigation Paralegal specializing in Family Law, to support our legal team in our Pittsburgh, PA office. You will have a strong understanding of family law procedures and a keen attention to detail, ensuring that all legal documentation is accurate and timely. If you have 3+ years of experience as a paralegal focused on Family Law, we want to talk to you!

Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in preparing for court/trial proceedings and preparation
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
Manage case and document filing in compliance with legal standards
Conduct legal research
Assist in the discovery process, including the organization and review of documents
Coordinate and schedule depositions and client meetings
Review billing statements and ensure accuracy in billing practices
Perform redlining of documents to track changes and ensure compliance with legal standards
Utilize ProLaw and NetDocs for case management and document organization
Edit legal documents for clarity, grammar, and formatting

Qualifications

3+ years experience in litigation- family law preferred
Paralegal certificate is REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of family law issues, including divorce, child custody, guardianship, pre/post nuptial agreements, spousal/child support, adoption, abuse protection, and equitable distribution.
Proficiency in ProLaw and NetDocs is a plus!
Excellent drafting and editing skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Experience working in a mid-sized or large law firm is strongly preferred
