Insurance Defense Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation and will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload that includes personal injury, construction, and commercial trucking cases. This position requires a proactive approach to legal defense, effective negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and expert witnesses.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of insurance defense litigation cases, including personal injury, construction, and commercial trucking matters.
Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and trial preparation.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
Collaborate with expert witnesses and consultants to build compelling cases.
Review and manage documents related to discovery and document production.
Perform site inspections and gather evidence to support cases.
Analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice to clients.
Use cloud-based technology for document management and maintain a paperless office environment.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active California Bar License.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
Strong analytical abilities and excellent legal research skills.
Proficient in legal writing and documentation.
Experience with trial preparation and court appearances.
Ability to negotiate settlements effectively and work under pressure.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
