Controls Technician

Position Overview
The Controls Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of control systems within a food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot PLC control systems to ensure optimal performance
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems
Diagnose and repair electrical issues related to control systems
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement system improvements
Document all maintenance activities and updates to control systems
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations regarding ammonia refrigeration systems
Train production staff on proper operation and safety protocols related to control systems

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Technology, or related field
3+ years of experience in control systems within food manufacturing or similar environments
Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting
Knowledge of refrigeration systems, particularly ammonia refrigeration
Strong understanding of electrical systems and controls
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
